Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, who we share it with, and the control you have over it — in plain English first, then in full.

The short version

We collect what we need to take your order, make it, ship it, support you, and run the shop — your contact and delivery details, your order history, the photos you upload, and some standard analytics and advertising data. We never sell your photos and don’t use them for advertising. You can see, correct or delete your information, opt out of marketing, and — depending on where you live — opt out of targeted advertising. The full detail is below; the quickest way to ask us anything is our contact page.

Who this is from

This policy explains how MySlavko (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles personal information when you visit MySlavko, place an order, upload a photo, contact us, or sign up for email. It applies to the MySlavko website and checkout. We currently sell to customers in the United States, and this policy is written around US privacy law.

Information we collect

There are three ways information reaches us.

Information you give us

  • Contact & order details — your name, email address, delivery and billing address, and (if you give it) a phone number.
  • Your photos and content — the images you upload to create a custom product, any crop or settings you choose, and any photos or files you attach when you message support.
  • Order information — what you bought, sizes and options, gift notes, and order history.
  • Account information — if you create an account, the details and sign-in credentials tied to it.
  • Messages — the content of anything you send us through the contact form or other channels.
  • Marketing preferences — whether you’ve subscribed to email, and what you’ve engaged with.
  • Payment — payments are handled by our payment provider through Shopify’s checkout. We receive a confirmation and limited details (such as the last four digits and the result); we do not receive or store your full card number.

Information we collect automatically

  • Device & connection — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, and language.
  • Approximate location — a general area derived from your IP address (not precise GPS).
  • Usage — the pages and products you view, what you click, how you move through the site, and the site you came from.
  • Advertising identifiers — when you arrive from an ad, the click identifier that platform attaches to the link (for example from Meta, Google, Microsoft or TikTok), so we can measure whether an ad worked.
  • Cookies & similar technologies — see Cookies & tracking below.

Information from other sources

We may receive information from our payment provider (to confirm and protect against fraud), and from advertising and analytics partners (to measure and improve our ads). If you interact with us on social media, we may receive information from that platform per its own settings.

How we use your information

  • To take, make, and deliver your orders — including producing custom items from the photos you upload.
  • To process payments and to detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your messages (including any photos you attach).
  • To send you transactional messages — order confirmations, shipping and tracking updates, and replies.
  • To send marketing emails where you’ve signed up or where the law allows — you can opt out at any time, in every email and by asking us.
  • To run, secure, debug, and improve the site, and to understand how it’s used.
  • To advertise and measure advertising — including showing you ads, measuring whether they led to a visit or purchase, and reaching similar audiences, on platforms like Meta, Google, Microsoft and TikTok.
  • To comply with our legal, tax and accounting obligations, and to enforce our terms.

Your photos

Photos are personal, so we’re specific about them. A photo you upload for a custom product is used only to create and fulfill that order — to process, print, and ship it. A photo you attach to a support message is used only to handle that request.

We store your photos securely with our cloud hosting and storage provider. We do not sell them, share them for advertising, or use them to train any model or for any purpose beyond your order and support. We keep them only as long as we need to make and support your order and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and then we delete or de-identify them. You can ask us to delete a photo at any time through our contact page.

Cookies & tracking technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies. They fall into a few groups:

  • Strictly necessary — needed for the site to work: your cart, checkout, sign-in, and security (for example, protecting forms against cross-site request forgery). These can’t be switched off.
  • Functional — remember your preferences and choices.
  • Analytics — help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it.
  • Advertising — set by us and by advertising platforms (such as Meta, Google, Microsoft and TikTok) to show and measure ads, including across other sites and apps.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, through our cookie preferences where offered, and through the opt-outs the advertising platforms provide. Where required by law, we also treat a recognized browser opt-out preference signal — such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) — as a request to opt out of sale/sharing for the browser it’s sent from. Blocking some cookies may stop parts of the site working.

How we share your information

We don’t sell your photos, and we don’t share them for advertising. We share other personal information only in these ways:

  • Service providers who work for us — companies that help us run the shop under our instructions: commerce, checkout and payments (Shopify and its payment processor); printing and delivery; email and marketing; customer support; cloud hosting and storage; and analytics.
  • Advertising partners — platforms like Meta, Google, Microsoft and TikTok, so we can show and measure ads. Under some state laws (notably California), this kind of cross-context behavioral advertising counts as “selling” or “sharing” personal information — you can opt out (see Do Not Sell or Share).
  • Legal & safety — to comply with the law or a valid legal request, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, property or safety of you, us, or others.
  • Business transfers — if the business is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, your information may be part of that, subject to this policy.

Your privacy rights

Wherever you live in the US, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
  • give you a copy of it, or move it (where that applies);
  • correct it if it’s wrong;
  • delete it;
  • stop sending you marketing; and
  • opt out of targeted advertising and of any “sale” or “sharing” of your information.

California (CCPA / CPRA)

If you’re a California resident, you have the rights above plus the right to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of them. In the last 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (such as name, email, address, IP); commercial information (orders); internet and device activity; approximate geolocation; visual information (the photos you upload); and inferences drawn from the above. We “share” identifiers and internet activity with advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising, and disclose the categories above to our service providers for the business purposes described here. We do not sell or share the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16.

Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana & other states

If your state has a consumer privacy law, you have rights along the same lines — to access, correct, delete, and get a portable copy of your information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of your information, and certain profiling. If we decline a request, you can ask us to reconsider (appeal); we’ll explain how when we respond.

How to exercise your rights

Make a request through our contact page and tell us it’s a privacy request. We’ll take reasonable steps to verify who you are (usually by confirming details we already hold), and we’ll respond within the time the law requires — generally 45 days, with an extension where allowed. It’s free unless a request is excessive or repetitive. You can use an authorized agent to act for you if they show they have your permission. We won’t treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

We use advertising partners (such as Meta, Google, Microsoft and TikTok) to show and measure ads. Under California law and some other state laws, letting those partners use your identifiers and activity for cross-context behavioral advertising can be a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out:

  • through our cookie preferences, where offered, by turning off advertising cookies;
  • by sending a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser — where the law requires, we treat it as an opt-out for that browser; and
  • by asking us directly through our contact page.

We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.

How long we keep your information

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy — to provide your order and support, run the shop, and meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations — and then we delete or de-identify it. Order and payment records are generally kept longer to meet those obligations; uploaded photos are kept only as long as needed for your order and support, and can be deleted on request.

How we protect your information

We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information — encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable providers for payments, hosting and storage. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to address issues quickly if they arise.

Children’s privacy

The site isn’t directed to children, and you must be 18 to place an order. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us through our contact page and we’ll delete it. If a photo you upload includes a child, you confirm you’re their parent or guardian or have that person’s permission.

Where your data is handled

We sell to US customers, and we and the providers who work for us may store and process your information in the United States and in other countries where those providers operate. Wherever it’s handled, we protect it as described in this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the shop and the law change. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date below, and for significant changes we’ll give clearer notice. Using the site after an update means you’ve seen the current version.

How to reach us

For any privacy question or request — access, correction, deletion, opting out, or anything else here — the quickest way to reach a real person is our contact page. Tell us it’s a privacy request and we’ll take it from there.
